Roundway House Welcome
I very much hope that everyone had a wonderful summer and that the first week back in school has gone smoothly. To all of those in year 7 and to all new pupils, I would like to wish you a warm welcome to Colston’s and also to Roundway House.
For those of you who are not aware, the Lion is the official figure head that represents the house. The opening rally for the charges within Roundway is to always be the best that they can be; follow the motto of the school; “Go and do thou likewise” and represent the house with pride an honour. It is my belief that following these beliefs are the key for the success of any individual.
The headmaster has set a scene for the school to be a happy environment where pupils are expected to achieve excellence throughout their academic studies and extra-curricular activities. I would echo this ethos within Roundway and would expect the environment to be positive and proactive in terms of pupil support for all house events and each other.
Please be aware that there has been a slight change in terms of tutoring due to timetabling. Therefore, as of Monday 8th September 2014, Mrs Hayett will become the lead tutor of Year 9 and Mr Mullings will be the support tutor of year 9. As a result of this, all year 9 correspondence should now go to Mrs Hayett as a first port of call. Due to this change, Roundway will also see Miss Victor become the support tutor of year 10.
Year 7 – Mr Pullin
Year 8 – Miss Hill
Year 9 – Mrs Hayett/Mr Mullings
Year 10 – Mr Gwilliam/Miss Victor
Year 11 – Mr Temple
Year 12 – Mr Drew
Year 13 – Mr Rounds
I would like to thank you in advance for your support of the pastoral structures within Roundway and wish all pupils a successful year.
Head of Roundway
